The Talking Dog Method

The Talking Dog Method is a one of a kind program, because it is a form of communication both canines and owners can relate to. There’s only so much human verbal communication can do, and only so far it can go when it comes to pooch training. This is simply because dogs can’t converse verbally like us. Non-verbal interaction accounts for nearly 70% of all human communication, while just 30% of our communication is verbal. Image a species like canine that relies on non-verbal communication. Therefore, it becomes all the more essential to treat dogs like dogs, and not talk to them like we would to humans.

This may sound like a strange concept to many, but the fact is that dogs are highly sensitive to, and pick up non-verbal cues like body language, posture, eye contact, etc. to gauge the owner’s leadership, comfort, and affection.

The Talking Dog Method consists of five imperatives:

Do not talk
Stay calm
Use touch as one of the mediums
Maintain eye contact/ master facial expressions
Maintain the right posture

This approach is apt for all canines, including guard dogs, companion dogs, sport dogs, and many more, and it can be used for all training levels, from common dog commands to complex protection training. Jessie Suarez’s course helps fortify the relationship between an owner and man’s best friend by identifying the root of the problem instead of merely touching upon the surface.
